Sept. 2007

Hi Guys,

Just wanted to drop you a note to say how much my Mrs and I enjoyed your concert in the park at Cairns. I was sitting in my room chillin' after another great day on hols and heard this great music filter in.

Wow, I said to the Mrs. These guys are great ! So we grabbed a few cold ones and cruised over for a great afternoon listening to you, another one of our Aussie Gems.

I bought your CD 4:00 A.M. and am playing it often. I get to play music in my bottleshop here in Brisy and have had many customers ask "who is that band" ? So I am doing my bit to wave the flag down here for ya.

Thanks again for putting the icing on our holiday, I'll be buying your other CD's a.s.a.p.

Best Wishes,

Geoff + Denise Brisbane Qld..

Hello Terry
This is Tom the irishman, I met you at Gavins birthday party earlier this year in Melbourne where you were doing a bit of entertaining and then in Joan & Vons house the next day before we dropped you to the airport. We're heading back to Ireland for Christmas and I'm asking is there any chance of getting the chords & lyrics from your album The Doyles Live at Johnos e-mailed to me as the songs are excellent and we're really enjoying them. Id like to learn them and introduce them to the family and friends, as they would go down great at parties. Im also checking out the new'st album 4.am and hope its even half as good as live at Johnos. Hope you enjoyed your stint in the U.S and i might see you in the future, its a pity your still not living in W A.
All the best
Tom from Ireland

I got your CD in the mail and have been listening to it non stop! You guys sound great and my favorite "Couldn't Live Anywhere Else" song is beautifully recorded! I actually started editing my Queensland footage to the music to make a little music video for you. Would you mind if I send it to you when I'm finished to see what you think and get your approval? That song just captures Queensland so well -I love it!
Thanks again,
I wish you all the best-you guys are great!

Look just a quikkie. Turned my computor on to alter a midi file and I was listening to your CD until now this morning so thought I would drop you a line. I was a bit worn out this morning and I thought when I got up "what would make me happy" so I turned on the Doyles CD.  No bullshit it makes me feel like getting on a plane and going up to Cairns and your song writing ability is great.  I mean like lots of people I know write their own songs but they sound like people I know, like amateurs, but you never know what you are gonna sing next (not the amateur cliche expected) I think you write great and you have a great way of putting them over. You remind me of Kevin 'Bloody' Wilson a lot and I think he's great.

Thanks

Onya Terry,

Thanks a million mate, I'm on to my 3rd glass of fresh home brew at the moment, and I'm going to go and grab the guitar, sit out in the fresh air and have a go at a few of your songs. I've already got a capo so I'm set!! Sounds like Jake's having fun. Anyway, thanks again mate, keep looking after all those beautiful ladies. Next visit to Cairns I'm going to try and drag my old man and few others with me. First stop, Johno's Blues Bar. See you soon, and I'll keep you informed on my progress with the songs, God knows I'll need help with them after a few home brews!!

Cheers, Patto.

Terry

Firstly let me re-introduce myself.  My name is Nicole and I'm Garry Thomson's (Thommo) neighbour in Mt Garnet.  Remember the neighbour????  Maybe not, but the lucky thing is that I remember you from Thommo's 50th birthday.  I got your email address from the back of your CD I bought that night.

You and your band were the best entertainment I've ever had the pleasure of seeing I really mean it, you were great!!  I don't think I've ever laughed so hard.

Thanks again,

Cheers

Terry and Jake,

Thanks a million for responding to my e-mail. I'm rapped that you have a new album coming out, can't wait for that! If possible, could you please try and send those lyrics and chords again? I received your e-mail, which included the link to your website but for some reason there was no attachment with it.

I also checked out your website, looks great! I was very pleased to see that my message made it into the testimonial section. My other half Julie says hello. We saw your show on Fri 20th Oct, she was the pregnant one. Only four weeks left and I'll have my hands full!! She's still laughing at your jokes. Without a doubt it was the best night ever, there's not many places you can go these days and just chill out like that and have some fun.

So when are you coming down to sunny Gosford, NSW to play some gigs? We'd love to see you here. You're more than welcome to drop in and sample some of my home brew on tap.

Anyway, here's our address for your list. Just let me know how much, and where to send the money for the new cd. Looking forward to it. Take care and hope to hear back from you soon.

Hi, I was at Johno’s Blues Bar this past Feb. and heard you and your son play. You did a song you had recently written about Queensland and I was hoping it is available on a CD.

I worked in Queensland for 4 months and have had the song stuck in my head ever since leaving Australia. They are great lyrics and capture the essence of Queensland perfectly! I would love a copy of the CD and can't wait to hear "I wouldn't live anywhere else" again.

Thanks for the good times-your country is amazing!

Dear Terry and Jake,

Just wanted to say that I saw your show at Johno's Blues Bar a few weeks ago and it was the best night out I've had in a long time. I purchased your CD and have nearly worn it out! It's fantastic. I've been trying to play along to a few of the songs with my guitar but I'm a little bit lost in some places. I was wondering if at all possible if you could help me out with a few chords to the songs; "New Tattoo", "She's Leaving", "Hooroo baby", "Grow old together", and "taken it's toll". I realise you're probably very busy but I really would appreciate it. It would be great to sit around with a beer and play these songs. As I mentioned before, I've been listening to the CD and I think I'm on the right track, I'd just need a little help to get me there.

Thanks very much for the great night of entertainment, and really appreciate your time to consider my request, hope you have a great Christmas and New Year.

Cheers,

Aaron Paterson Narandra NSW.

P.S Hope to see you again on our next visit to Cairns.

Hey Terry

Sorry I did not catch up with you on Friday night at Johnnos but Gavin told me that you guys were great. Whilst catching up on work today I have been listening to your CD Gavin bought, really like that style of music. Great to see you and Jake together, I can still remember him on the organ at the Strangled Mango how times fly. Will be up around Christmas and look forward to catching up. Kicking myself about Friday night would have loved it.

Hi Terry,

Thought I'd drop you a line and say I'm enjoying the live album.  It's cold down here and we begin a "national" tour (that's what the music industry calls a tour that covers the south-eastern coastline from Brisbane to Adelaide) in Melbourne next Wednesday.  I have a new album released today, and we have the support, for as long as it lasts, of a major record company, so we'll be out there trying to sell a few.  I don't know when I'll get up there again, but if you're heading this way let me know beforehand.

Best Regards,

Don Walker Sydney

Just thought i had to send you guys a note saying i really enjoyed my nine day holiday in Cairns - a great paradise right here in Oz - the beaches & islands were my daytime - Johnos Blues Bar my night. I've been to Cairns a few times now, first time in '93 - but this time was the best. Your Aussie way of performing & the toad races made an impression on me and many others im sure – I’ve practically worn your CD out! "Grow up together" , "Taken its toll" - & all the other songs I love 'em - thanks Terry & Jake - all the best on your US tour –

April 2006

I just thought I would drop you a line to thank you.

I just got back from a 3 week trip to Australia during which I was in Cairns when Larry hit.   The night after I was really depressed because I was supposed to go scuba diving (the highlight of my trip) but Larry killed that idea, not to mention he leveled a good part of Innisfail and brought trees down around Cairns.

It was in this depressed state that my girlfriend and I stumbled into Johnos Blues Bar.   We played pool and watched your show, but to make a long story short between your routine, the dress up, and the toad races in which our toad got mounted I was laughing so hard I was crying.   I just wanted to drop a line and thank you for putting the smile back on my face.

PS we bought a CD but it didn't have the song we were looking for on it.   If you ever tape the song about how you couldn't live anywhere else please let me know.

Thanks again

Hello Terry.
Hi how are you and them their toads going. Shane and I had the best night while at the Toad races at Johno’s Bar watching them and all the other rabbits that made the show.

Well we are back in Tassy now with all our cold weather, but it is nice to be home.

Thank you once again for a great night
